Representing the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), astronauts Hazzaa Al Mansouri and Nora Al Matrooshi brought Dubai's cutting-edge space technology to GITEX EUROPE at Messe Berlin from May 21-23. In an exclusive interview with Khaleej Times, the trailblazing duo shared their insights on integrating AI into humanity's cosmic ambitions.

"We're harnessing AI to analyze vast databases of satellite imagery that directly benefit communities across Dubai and the UAE," explained Al Mansouri, his words reflecting the nation's forward-thinking approach. "Our presence here demonstrates how space technology, artificial intelligence and practical applications form an inseparable triad for progress."

Al Matrooshi highlighted specific applications: "At GITEX, we're demonstrating how AI can optimize astronauts' valuable time in orbit. Why manually control robotic arms when AI can handle such tasks? This frees crew members for more complex scientific work." The Emirati astronaut emphasized that their mission extends beyond national pride - it represents a quantum leap for global space cooperation.

The young astronaut outlined her continuous training regimen: "Our learning never stops. Every day brings new equipment and technologies we must master as end-users pushing boundaries." Her vision transcends technical achievements: "We're not just preparing for missions - we're proving what humanity can accomplish through unified effort across borders."
